Born in Orange County, California, Jesse Romigh, aka Jesci, has traveled many roads that led to the current one as a solo artist. Through his unique blend of music, he sings of life's dreams, triumphs and tragedies in a confident yet intimate vocal style. His soulful delivery is marked by a subtlety that is at times ethereal. Laced with pop sensibility, a modern edge and southern flare, his infusive lyrical expressions weave passionate stories through memorable, timeless songs. Jesci's first independent release on MUM Records, his own startup record label, is called Vintage Soul. The debut EP is distributed and sold via the Internet and at live shows. A full length release is in the near future, as recordings have already begun.
One of many noteworthy past musical experiences is the former band Milkshake, an eight member funk & roll band, complete with DJ and horn players. Jesse and his former band mates formed Milkshake in Dallas, Texas and then migrated to Portland, Oregon where they grew the monster band and released the independent CD, Quiver, on J-Bird Records. It was then that he discovered his real roots in song writing and began to develop a unique style, experimenting with various kinds of music, as the band really had no musical boundaries and gave freedom to play anything from rock to reggae.
After the breakup of Milkshake, Jesci continued to write songs and eventually decided to go solo, but not exactly solo. There are quite a few talented musicians that grace the stage and recordings with Jesci, hence the name, Jesci & the Collective. They are a group of individually talented musicians that help carry the weight and who also pursue their own musical endeavors. Members of the Collective include and have included Keith Bryant on bass, Drew Hunter on drums, Nathan Adamson on drums, Dana Sudborough on percussion, and Jason Bennet on guitar. The live performances by Jesci & the Collective are nothing short of energetic and soulful, as they bring a variety of musical style, rhythm and emotion.
"Texas is more than just country twang. Jesci is just the type of artist that is contributing to this movement with a brand of pop-rock that can appeal to just about anybody. His songs are filled with rich sounds that will ring both new and familiar."

"Vintage Soul is simultaneously slick and earnest and, above all, uncommonly interested in seeding your brain with jangly melodies."
